Nano In-Ear Monitoring System

Digitear overcomes the persistent problems of current wireless in-ear prompting systems including their limited range and reliability, the complexity of frequency mapping, and on-air talent complaints of poor intelligibility and low-volume levels.

A New Standard

User-friendly design for both on-air presenters and audio engineers was of paramount concern when designing Digitear. Presenters enjoy a consumer-electronics level experience in convenience, invisibility, sound quality, ease of use and gift-box presentation. With 8 hours (typical) battery life for InEar monitors and Beltpack, and an extra battery, reliability is assured. The automatic pairing of the Beltpack and InEar Monitors save valuable time for audio engineers and, in addition, each presenter’s Beltpack can be enabled with a PTT or full duplex talk-back feature, adding a new level of prompter flexibility.

For Presenters

The on-air presenter’s system consists of two, nano wireless Digitear InEar monitors that provide >60db isolation and up to 110dB sound levels with 15kHz bandwith. These connect via dual-stream BluetoothTM with the Digitear Beltpack. The InEar monitors and Beltpack are stored in the DigitEar Charger box along with the spare battery. All devices in the charger box are charged when not in use when the Charger box connected to power via a mini-USB jack.

For Engineers

The TX Box supports up to 8 channels/8 Beltpacks, connecting to them via 5G WiFi. The Digitear Accesspoint WiFi antenna provides up to 150’ (50M) of coverage. Multiple Accesspoint antennas can be connected via a POE switch to support multiple zones. Alternatively, the TX box can be integrated directly into an existing WiFi network. The TX box is quickly set up directly via the front panel or remotely via computer and Digitear software.


Reliabile, intuitive and elegant in design, Digitear is also an outstanding technical and engineering achievement. The backbone of the communication system is provided via 5GHz WiFi connecting each beltpack to the system. Beltpack to InEar communication is via dual-streaming BluetoothTM protocol. TX boxes can be interconnected to support up to 200 individual and selectable half or full duplex channels, 120’-150’ coverage per zone, 15kHz frequency response and 110dB SNR.
